Clemence Schmid is the Director of the Global Plastic Action Partnership at the World Economic Forum, where she drives efforts to create a more sustainable and inclusive world by addressing plastic pollution. Clemence joined the World Economic Forum in December 2023 after a notable 5-year tenure leading Loop, a pioneering reuse platform launched by Terracycle in partnership with major organizations including the World Economic Forum, Procter & Gamble, PepsiCo, and Greenpeace. At Loop, she spearheaded collaboration with over 200 partners and played a key role in shaping the global reuse conversation. Prior to Loop, Clemence accumulated 15 years of expertise in Sustainability, Innovation, Consumer Behavior, Strategic Planning, and Business Management. She holds a Master’s degree from ESSEC Business School (France), an MBA from Mannheim Universität (Germany), and Warwick University (UK), and is dedicated to tackling the challenge of plastic pollution.
