Dr. Johannes Paul is a geologist and environmental engineer with extensive experience in waste management and circular economy. Since 1988, he has worked with various public, private, and academic institutions across Germany, the EU, Canada, the Philippines, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, and India. Currently, Dr. Paul manages the country component for the Philippines in the ASEAN development project 3RproMar, representing Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ). His professional career includes significant involvement in research and development projects focused on circular economy, waste management, climate mitigation, and marine litter concerns in low-income countries. Dr. Paul has authored over 100 publications and has lectured at multiple universities in his field of expertise.
