Le Ngoc Tuan

Director General, International Cooperation Department, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment of Viet Nam

Le Ngoc Tuan is the Director General of the International Cooperation Department at the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment of Viet Nam. He holds a master’s degree in development economics from the National Economics University and the Dutch Institute of Social Studies. Since beginning his career at the ministry in 2008, Le Ngoc Tuan has held several leadership roles, including his tenure at the Viet Nam Institute of Meteorology, Hydrology, and Environment, now known as the Viet Nam Institute of Meteorology, Hydrology, and Climate Change.

He has served as Deputy Director and later Director of the Science, Technology, and International Cooperation Division at the Department of Meteorology, Hydrology, and Climate Change. Le Ngoc Tuan has also been a member of the Viet Nam climate change negotiation team and the Viet Nam JCM Joint Committee, where he led the Viet Nam JCM Secretariat. From 2016 to 2021, he served as Deputy Director General of the International Cooperation Department, and since December 2021, he has been its Director General.
