Rofi Alhanif is a dedicated environmental leader with an MSc in Integrated Coastal Zone Management. For the past four years, he has served as the Assistant Deputy for Waste Management at the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment (CMMAI), where he has been instrumental in coordinating and aligning national government policies on waste management, with a particular focus on marine plastic debris. In addition to his role in government, Rofi has played a key part in fostering multi-stakeholder collaboration through his work with the National Plastic Action Partnership (NPAP). As Co-Chair of the NPAP Policy Task Force, he has helped shape policies aimed at tackling Indonesia’s plastic waste pollution crisis. His experience spans government policy development, stakeholder engagement, and driving national efforts to combat marine pollution.
